Cute, but it's been done before

Mayor Roberto Pereira da Silva has proposed banning death as a way to protest a bill banning expansion or construction of cemeteries in their town.

Of course, about 2000 years ago Jesus "banned" spiritual death for those who believe on and trust in Him for new life. I know it won't happen, but imagine if God had to be concerned about heaven overflowing? Well, at the very least may the knowledge of Jesus Christ as the heart of the Christmas season greatly increase the number of future residents of heaven.

The Lord Jesus Christ graciously became my Savior in April 1990, and though I've wandered at times, I'm so thankful for his merciful love that gives me hope for better tomorrows. I'm happily married (June 2004) and have a 14-year-old stepson. My wife works in a day-care (she does it all: teaching, song leader, secretary), and I work for a large telecommunications company doing pretty much whatever is needed. Our son enjoys and excels at video games, basketball, writing, and acting. During a Stephen Curtis Chapman concert, Stephen spoke of his & his wife's adopted children. My wife and I had thought about doing so before, but this really cemented it in our hearts. We have since started the process of adopting a girl from China. It's rather arduous; we want her with us now, but know she'll be worth the wait. I have lived in New Jersey my whole life, save for four years in California and oceans west in the Navy. My wife and I volunteer in various ministries at our church. We co-lead a couples "touch group," and my wife also serves in the nursery and at the altar ministry. I also minister at the youth detention center and operate the camera for some of our services.
